Girls Come and Try Session

Next Friday afternoon (13th) from 4.30pm the club will be hosting an open session for any girls interested in giving cricket a try. 

The session is targeting girls aged between 10 & 16 and no previous cricket experience is required. 

John Lonergen who heads up the Women’s Cricket program at the Southern District Stingrays will be in attendance to assist with the delivery of the activities. 

With some excellent female cricket playing options and pathways available, now is a perfect time to start your cricket journey at a grassroots, community club in a fun and participation focused environment. 

The “Fillies” program at Strathalbyn currently offers 16&U Girls and is also planning to establish an U12 team commencing in Term 1 of 2024 participating in the Upper Fleurieu Strikers Girls Cricket League. There is also the mixed U10 cricket option at Strath. 

When: Friday 13th October, 4.30pm. 

Where: Strathalbyn Oval

A free BBQ & drinks will follow the session.
